Going abroad with a short lease car

Are you allowed to take your short lease car outside the Netherlands (on vacation)? Yes, you may! However, you are not allowed to drive the shortlease car in all countries in (Western) Europe. Moreover, you have to take out a foreign insurance, otherwise you will be charged for all costs for assistance in case of breakdown or stranding.

Useful to know

You may take our cars to the following countries in Europe:

Belgium - Denmark - Germany - Finland - France - Greece - Hungary - Ireland - Italy - Croatia - Luxembourg - Norway - Austria - Poland - Portugal - Slovenia - Slovakia - Spain - Czech Republic - United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) - Sweden - Switzerland

Take out foreign insurance in your short lease contract. For a one-off amount of €75.00 incl. VAT, you are covered abroad. This concerns costs, which cannot be recovered by us via the brand coverage of the car manufacturer or our insurer.
